Arrive at Your Wedding in Style!

This weekend, we attended the Honda Indy and saw some beautiful cars. Not only in the races, but parked out in the Parking Lots. We figured this called for an inspiration post.

One of the few wedding things couples take for granted, don’t see the importance of and actually tend to forget until the last minute is the for transportation on their wedding day. Not just for the couple, but for their wedding parties and parents too.

Of course they can always all drive themselves, but just think about how much sense it makes to not have to worry about parking, much less having an extra glass of wine to drink.

The most typical form of wedding transportation in Toronto is of course, the Limousine. From stretch limos, Buses & cool Hummers, we also tend to see the vintage Limousines quite a bit. There is something so elegant in arriving to the ceremony in an escorted Rolls Royce or Stretch Bentley.

For us here at The PWG, we love all wedding transportation options, but one option in particular that gets us very excited is exotic cars! For a once in a lifetime event, it only makes sense to go all out; that is, if you can fit it into your budget.

Here is an idea of what you are looking at. Typically to rent an exotic car there are several fees and charges to consider. You are looking at a security fee in the range of $1500.00 to over $10,000.00; Insurance on average can run around the $1000.00 to 250.00 a day range; A per kilometer fee as well as a minimum two day rental for a Saturday/Sunday at a scope of anywhere from $500.00 per day to $2500.00 or more a day. Typically all fees must be paid up front prior to the wedding date and if the exotic rental car company needs to drop it off or pick it up it is extra.

Now imagine riding off into the sunset on a beautiful, powerful, majestic, horse…but not just any horse, the beautiful Black Beauty on the Ferrari 360 Spider; or how about entering into the reception in a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560? And when we mean entering, we mean right into your venue during your introductions?

Now wouldn’t that be a sweet way to start your wedding? Full of excitement, adventure and absolute style!

Fun Fact: How the Ferrari Emblem was chosen.

“The horse was painted on the fuselage of the fighter plane of Francesco Baracca — a heroic airman of the first world war. In ’23, I met count Enrico Baracca, the hero’s father, and then his mother, countess Paulina, who said to me one day, ‘Ferrari, put my son’s prancing horse on your cars. It will bring you good luck’. The horse was, and still is, black, and I added the canary yellow background which is the colour of Modena.”

Some of our fave picks are: the Ferrari Testarossa, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 Spider and the McLaren F1. What is your dream-wedding ride?
